I bought this chair yesterday at salvation army in hopes of fixing it up. Not sure where I'm going with it but hopefully when I'm done it will be unrecognizable in a good way! :)
When I picked it up the spring to help it swivel back into place was sticking out and broken. Otherwise the chair seems to be in good shape (besides being boring)
I decided to take the chair apart to see if I could take the spring out and possibly replace it. After some fighting with it I was able to remove the spring but I don't think I will be able to replace it. So now I'm left with a 3 piece chair which I may put back together without the spring and let it swivel 360 degrees or I'm considering taking out the metal swivel piece and making it a stationary stool. I also began some sanding which I think may be easier if the chair remains in pieces.
